If you want me to draw your OC, you can just tell me directly instead of doing it anonymously. I can tell, you know.

Randomly, I know there’s this unwritten ruling in the fandom that you can’t ask someone to draw your OCs because that would be obnoxious.

You know what? Screw that ruling. If an artist wants to draw, s/he will. It’s never up to everyone else to decide. If someone thinks that a random fan is able to force an artist to draw something for him/her, then I think the obnoxious one is the person who thinks so. Because dude, do you think we’re going to do something just because someone forces us to? Drawing takes time and we always needs an incentive to pay off that time. As fanartists, sometimes the incentive is just having someone be happy at things that we draw. A smile or a squee or keyboardsmash; a like, a reblog, a comment; these are all I want as an incentive.

Of course, all the above becomes a moot point when the artist specifically states that s/he does not accept requests. Then anyone who does make a request becomes obnoxious.

Now I should runaway before somebody thinks of me as obnoxious. :p
