When Porto and Norte don’t have anything else to do but not in the mood to be alone, they usually just meet up in Café Âncora d’Ouro. This usually happens during lunch breaks or sometimes even Sundays after church. They would order some francesinha and later Porto always has his coffee with bagaço.

I was tempted to ask if you were a man (I didn’t know I have male followers???), then I just realized that it’s either I’m the one who’s bad at words and not not really good at voicing my opinion, or the fact that women can be as misogynist as men when it comes to things related to woman. I tend to lean for the first argument, so let me explain myself.

Perhaps I should have worded it like this:

Maybe some men just feel insecure because THEY THINK most women AROUND THEM LOOKS more beautiful AND smarter AND financially secured than them REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THAT IS THE REALITY OR NOT, so they try to make sure than women would have only either one of those or none at all BECAUSE GOD FORBIDS ANYONE BEING SMARTER AND RICHER AND MORE SEXUALLY APPEALING THAN I AM ESPECIALLY IF IT’S A WOMAN.

At least from what reality I have been seeing around me, I do feel that:

Most women are more beautiful than men (somehow they bath more, actually give a damn about how they look and smell, and even when they look (relatively) hideous, they would try at least make themselves look presentable instead of just saying FUCK IT and makes jokes about people who does give fuck about their appearances)
Most women have/had the same or even better capability in school in both art and science (surprise surprise).
Most women who actually have career and no family can actually compete as hard as men in business, and those who do have both career and family to take care of can actually find ways to balance both and still have sane and healthy kids, and the reason why they demure from doing their most to achieve whatever success they could have had is because they’re afraid that their men will leave them if they do so because “men don’t like a woman that is better than him”.
Some men think that women has it better in financial security because all they have to do is to marry some rich dude or just marry anyone, and there’s free meal ticket for the rest of your life.

What I was trying to say is that I think some men enforce the whole “men are better than women” argument because they don’t feel like they as a collective could compete and win against women, so they feel the need to systematically make sure that they won’t have to.

So if you’re wondering about what I think about the reality in real life, I think the reality is that BOTH men and women are beautiful and smart and can be financially independent, but only one side is allowed by the other side-biased society to have those three criteria at the same time.
