Omayyah visiting Norte, page 8.
Headcanon says Omayyah had three sons. Al-Sharq (Granada), Al-Gharb (Silves) and Al-Andalus (Cordoba) (who was the eldest). But Cordoba died early into the campaign to conquer the Peninsula and Omayyah had to take his place as the centre of the kingdom and become Al-Andalus himself. So he sent his two remaining sons to the east and west because he was grieving and could not undertake the conquering himself, and didn’t really recover until he adopted Spain and Portugal and
kidnapped them took them to live with him.
So you know. Algarve has middle child syndrome. It makes perfect sense. /SHOT
I’m sorry, I’ll go now orz.
XDDD Well, MCS doesn’t always happen to the middle child. It’s called that because it tends to, but not entirely.
However, while being the first kid born in the Peninsula, Algarve was indeed not Omayyah’s first child, more like, just one of his many sons. However, Andalusia did stand out more than Algarve because of his more outgoing nature, so it was natural that more attention was given to him instead of Algarve.
But yeaaaaah, the tendency for a kid to be forgotten by the parents when the other kid shines too bright. >_>;;;;;
Wait, where are you going!!!! /TACKLESHUGS
